Our decking fixings are all easy to use and install. They are designed to simply slide onto composite decking boards and remain firmly in place, meaning that you can get your dream garden project completed sooner.

How do composite decking clips work?

These special clips are designed to hold decking boards in place by connecting into the grooves on the sides of the boards. They are then screwed into the frame beneath, keeping them hidden from above.

Each clip is designed to hold two boards securely and keep them in line, making the surface of the decking look smooth and presentable.

Installing composite decking clips is easy. Simply start by sliding the clips into the grooves along the sides of the boards and position one clip at each joist. Then, screw each clip into the joist to lock the board in place and slide another board into the exposed side of the clips you just attached. The difference between the 3mm and 6mm decking fixing clips is the spacing that will be achieved between the boards.

As such it is personal preference on which you would prefer to use.
